Mr Mudzunga is the Director for the Directorate of Agricultural Inputs Control in the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) since December 2011. He started his career as an agricultural scientist as researcher at the Agricultural Researcher Council in 2000 after completing his Master’s degree at the University of Stellenbosch. In 2003 he joined DAFF as a Technical Advisor where he was later appointed as the Registrar of the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act, 1947 (Act No. 36 of 1947) in 2011. The main objectives of Act No. 36 of 1947 is to ensure that farmers have access to cost effective tools to manage pests and diseases, while ensuring that the risk associated with the use of such products is acceptable.
